Hi all!
Just wondering if anyone in the Pittsburgh area would like to get together sometime next week (Thursday? Friday? Saturday?) for a blogger/non-blogger meetup and to celebrate Pittsburgh Restaurant Week. Not familiar with Restaurant Week? It’s one week of the year where pre-determined restaurants (those who’ve volunteered to host) offer prix-fixe menus for $20.10. Some menus vary (some are Breakfast for 2 for $20.10, some are just specials that are only being run that week, etc), but it’s a great way to get out and try a restaurant you’ve been considering visiting.
This year’s restaurant week is being held next week – May 25-30. The full list of participating restaurants is available on the official website, but to name a few (the ones I’m most excited about):
- River Moon Cafe (Lawrenceville)
- The Mighty Oak Barrel (Oakmont)
- 17th Street Cafe (South Side)
- Church Brew Works (Lawrenceville-ish)
- Girasole (Shadyside)
- Ibiza (South Side)
- Piper’s Pub (South Side)
- Tamari (Lawrenceville)
- Paris 66 (Shadyside)
- Quiet Storm (Friendship-ish)
If you’d be interested in a meetup, please leave a comment with your name and preferred dates/times/restaurants before Sunday and if there’s any response at all (really, one person can respond and I’ll be all “yeah, let’s do this!”), I’ll post again on Sunday evening on the details.
