If I could play volleyball with my Tuesday night team every week year-round, without bye weeks or time between seasons, I totally would… but there are some good things that happen on Tuesdays when I don’t have volleyball. Namely, Labeling Parties at Wigle Whiskey. The parties been on our radar since we got our first tour in February, but with volleyball most Tuesdays, it’s just never happened. Until tonight, that is.
The BF and I met up at Wigle in the Strip a few minutes before 6 and then got straight to work. The premise of the labeling party is this – you go to Wigle and provide free labor affixing stickers to their bottles. In return, they give you Wigle cocktails and some snacks. It’s like a free night out, but with a teensy bit of labor mixed in. Not a bad deal.
We both are glad we went, but we’re not entirely sure we’ll be back for another labeling party. It was just kind of strange, how clique-ish it was and how OCD some people were. It’s great to have standards, and personally I can be a bit of a perfectionist, but when they called out someone for putting a label an eighth of an inch too high on a bottle, it seemed a little extreme. But still, it was an interesting experience and we got to drink for free all night. There are certainly worse ways to spend an evening. 🙂
