As usual after our volunteer team meetings, we headed out to a bar for a late happy hour. We have a place we’ve been going to fairly regularly over the past few months, and I always get the same thing – their version of a Moscow Mule. They make them with vodka, lime juice, ginger syrup, and champagne, so they’re different from other Mules where ginger beer is used. Tonight, though, they were out of some ingredient or another and couldn’t make them, so I had to come up with an alternative.
In the Mule’s place, I ended up with a Yinzbiscus. It was vodka, hibiscus, orange bitters, soda water, and lime, and it was pretty good. Not as good as a Mule, but good nonetheless. I will admit it was prettier, though. 🙂
